In the score, this piece is actually credited to a rabbit by the name of Wulsey Furrow (I know). I needed to get this out because I was working on a children's story about a rabbit who forms a quartet with a group of carnivores. In the story I describe the prevailing form of "Rabbit Music" as a rapid mostly atonal collection of squeaks and yips. Wulsey is frustrated and feels trapped in the genre and so decides to branch out with something new. The Mortal Carrots is the first work in her new style, and being that it's intended for carnivore voices she puts in some effort to make the lyrics appealing.
